The Niseko 59 Shop Policies

Clients must be at least 18 years of age to get a tattoo. There is no such thing as a parental waiver in Japan for anyone younger than 18.

At 59 Niseko, we do our best to accommodate both walk-in tattoos as well as scheduled appointments.

Deposits are mandatory for all appointments. A standard deposit is 10,000 yen. This deposit reserves your scheduled appointment time and covers the drawing time for smaller tattoos that do not require multiple hours of preparation. Some large or detailed tattoos may require significant investment of time for drawing. These larger tattoos may require larger deposits or a separate drawing fee. This is assessed on a case by case basis and will be discussed with your artist if it is deemed necessary. All deposits are non-refundable.

If you would like to get multiple tattoos or have multiple people in your group, our shop policy requires a deposit for each person / tattoo design.

If you change your mind about what you’d like to get tattooed, that’s ok! We are happy to draw a new design for you! However, we will require a new deposit for this new design.

Please do your best to arrive on time for your appointment. Please plan your transportation ahead of time. There are regular busses that service the Niseko area and the Kutchan station is a short walk from our shop. If you need help with this system please let us know.

If you are unable to make it to your scheduled appointment on time, please let us know in advance. To avoid forfeiture of your deposit, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule. We will always do our best to work with your schedule, but we can not guarantee last minute schedule changes.

Please eat a proper meal before you arrive to get tattooed. We don’t want you to get light headed due to low blood sugar levels! There are lots of restaurants and and convenience stores available within a short walking distance from our shop, so you will always have last minute options available nearby!

Please do not arrive drunk. We do want you to have a great time, but we don’t want you bleeding excessively! One or two drinks is fine. Please just use common sense!

Please arrive reasonably clean and showered for obvious reasons.

Please consider your clothing choice for the day of your tattoo. Loose fitting clothing that can be easily moved out of the way is helpful.

Consider wearing something that you won’t be upset if ink or blood gets on it.

You may cancel your appointment at any time, but deposits are non-refundable.
